Consultations for peels are always advised for chemical peels. It is imperative the skin is prepped for 30 days before proceeding with a chemical peel. Included in your package will be a serum suited for your skin concerns to use for 30 days prior to peel appointment. This will ensure the skin is healthy, hydrated, and will help loosen any pigment that is being addressed.
Results will be seen with 1 treatment, however your aesthetician may recommend a series of treatments depending on the severity of your skin concerns.
Most peels will require you to keep the area dry for 24 hours post treatment. Failing to do so can reactivate the acids and cause burning. It is advised to shower before coming in for your chemical peel. Depending on the peel selected, you may feel tight for the first 24-48 hours, then you can expect the peeling (if any) to begin. Peeling will vary in intensity. It is important to NOT touch, or pre-maturely peel off any flaking skin. You can expect possible itching.
After a Linder Health Peel, you may have dry tight skin for a few days, with the possibility of very light flaking, however should be minimal if any.
For Traditional Peels, a post-care kit to take home, including Cleanser, Recovery Balm + SPF will be given.
Linder Health peels require no post-care other than your regular SPF to use.
