At Beautiful U, we use only the best advancements in Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers. HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body. It is a key component of the skin’s ability to retain water and therefore stay moisturized. The absorption of water creates volume and elasticity. As the skin ages, the body’s ability to produce HA is reduced causing loss of volume and wrinkles to develop.

With the Revanesse Family of Dermal Fillers, we are able to restore youth back to your skin. Revanesse is a collection of injectable dermal fillers that are used to treat the entire face to create a more youthful appearance. The line has been developed to smooth out lines and wrinkles, restore/add volume and shape and contour facial features. Revanesse incorporates the latest advancements in cross-linking technology, resulting in high quality, safe and long-lasting dermal fillers. Utilizing the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) available, in addition to the rejuvenating properties of non cross-linked HA.

Revanesse products are biodegradable, non animal-based, clear HA gels designed for various indications. The products are safe and effective providing immediate, beautiful results for all of our clients. Whether you want to plump out wrinkles, chisel your jaw, or achieve that perkier pout, Beautiful U Medi Spa has just what you need.

Pre Treatment

  • No anti-inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Vioxx, etc.), aspirin, high doses of Vitamin E, or Ginko Biloba one week prior to treatment. This will reduce the possible side effects of bruising and/or swelling in the treated area(s).
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages prior to treatment can increase the chances of bruising and/or swelling.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding to receive treatment.
  • If you have a history of oral herpes, it is recommended to pre-treat with an anti-viral three days before your scheduled visit.

Post Treatment

  • The majority of reactions to dermal fillers are redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness after the injections. These usually subside a few days after the treatment, but can last up to a week. If any of these symptoms persist longer than a week, or if you develop other symptoms, please contact our office for advice.
  • Cold compresses may be used after the treatment to reduce swelling, and decrease soreness. You may take Tylenol every 4-6 hours after the treatment to help with any discomfort you may have.
  • Make up may be applied a few hours after treatment, if no complications are present, such as: open wounds, bleeding, or infection.
  • In the first 24 hours following treatment, extensive sun or heat exposure and alcoholic beverages may cause a temporary increase in redness, bruising or swelling at the injection sites. If there is swelling or redness after the injections, you should limit exposure to sunlight or UV lamps until these symptoms subside (for at least 5-7 days). If sun exposure is unavoidable, use a sun block with an SPF 25 or greater.
  • Patients should avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours, to prevent moving the filler or increasing blood flow to the face.
  • Avoid taking aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Nuprin, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wart, and high doses of Vitamin E, for about 5 days after the treatment, as these may cause an increased risk of bleeding or bruising at the injection sites.
  • Avoid excessive touching or massaging the treated areas for about 6 hours after the injections. The treated areas can be washed with a gentle cleanser such as AlumierMD Sensiderm.
  • Please understand that your satisfaction is the most important thing for us. We would like you to return to the office in 2 weeks, to see whether a touch up is necessary in the facial sculpting process. Remember this procedure is fine-tuned toward the look you want to achieve, and is not an exact science.
  • Studies have shown that having a follow up treatment before the product has fully dissipated will enhance the lasting effect. Consult Dr. Gaucher or Dr Falk about recommendations for touch up or follow up treatments.
  • Contact Dr. Gaucher/Falk immediately if you experience fever/chills, if the area appears red, inflamed and hot, if you have severe pain or worsening pain, if discoloured blotches or blanching of the skin is noticed, and if pustules (pimples) or nodules form in the area.

Lip Fillers are a perfect way to restore that luscious plump without looking false. Dr Gaucher/Falk will discuss with you to get you the perfect level of volume to restore your youthful, smooth lips.
